Simple Home Remedy To Moisturize Dry Hair

Brazilian Hair

Hairlove Tip by: CurlBar

Here’s a simple home remedy that you can do at home to add moisture to your hair starting with coconut oil. Rub it in your scalp to the ends. You can leave it on your hair overnight and then co wash or shampoo it out with a no sulphate shampoo.

Condition with a moisturizing conditioner (e.g DevaCurl One Condition). Spritz with water to dilute conditioner rather than rinse it out. Apply a hair butter (or Heaven in Hair)  and then seal with your favourite curl friendly gel for hold (e.g Earthtones Naturals Curl Enhancing Jelly)

To maintain moisture and to refresh your curls, make a spritz with Rose water, Aloe Vera juice and a cap of vegetable glycerin. Spritz your hair every morning and evening or as needed. This will improve your moisture level tremendously.

Spritz Recipe:

  • 1/2 bottle Rose water
  • 1 Tablespoon Aloe Vera Juice
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable glycerine or more, the dryer the hair the more glycerine you need

You’ll be amazed at the results!
