Sunny Isle, a company based in Miami, Florida has concocted the delectable delight that is Jamaican Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil by extracting it directly from the meat of a coconut. And, for those of you who thought I slipped up by calling it delectable – I didn’t. This multi-purpose oil can be used for promoting shiny, moisturized hair, on the skin for making it healthy and supple-looking, as well as in the kitchen – yes, you can incorporate coconut oil into your cooking scheme too!
I purchased my bottle at the Honey Fig store in Toronto and have been raging about it ever since. With my heightened sense of smell, I felt as though it did the trick – as far as ensuring that its scent remained odorous from the time I fingered it onto my scalp in the morning and well into the day. The richness of the smell is unlike any other coconut oil I’ve ever smelled.
As mentioned, coconut oil is the perfect solution for skin and hair, for it contains one of the most vital vitamins for the healthy promotion of both: Vitamin E. With that in mind, keep it close at hand if you may be battling skin woes such as: psoriasis, eczema or dermatitis.
For those who are fanatic about their hair, coconut oil may be just what you need. I tend to massage it onto my scalp every morning after I shower; however, if you’d prefer a more hassle-free/hands -off solution, you may choose to use it for a hot oil treatment on a weekly basis. After using it for a couple of weeks you will likely begin to notice the waning of dry scalp issues, along with the elimination of dandruff. Lest I forget to mention that it is also a great preventative measure against lice.
Last but not least, this oil’s usefulness in ensuring that the body performs optimally is priceless. When ingested into the body, coconut oil functions as a potent healer due to its immense anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. For that reason, its proven to be a highly effective way to obliterate fungi and yeast that cause mild ailments such as candidiasis, athlete’s foot, ringworm and the like. Additionally, its ability to combat harmful bacteria makes it a reliable way to ensure proper digestion of food by removing parasites, fungi and bacteria that may cause indigestion.
There are numerous more ways in which coconut oil can assist with your daily hair, skin and food repertoire. If you haven’t yet tried it in any of the areas in which it is beneficial, I suggest you give it a try soon.
