My hair journey starting april 2011
Jessica Opoku-Amoah or as she prefers to be called “Natural Boss Lady” is a student at York University studying business and a Sales Representatives at Virgin Mobile Canada at Yonge and Dundas Square in Toronto. She aspires to open her own business within the next year pertaining black hair care products.
“Jessica is born and raised in Canada to Ghanian immigrants. She loves reading, dancing (dancehall!) and eating different types of food. She considers herself a critical thinker because she believes she can open others perspectives to the bigger issues in life. Her journey as a naturalista was pretty rough through the disapproval of her parents choosing this path for healthy hair. However, through her confidence and drive for individuality she continues to become a powerhouse in her everyday movements.
“I bring to this team charm, leadership and a fresh critical perspective on natural hair. My goal within this positive organization is to gain networking opportunities amongst my curly ambassadors and supporters of Iheartmyhair. In addition, providing the natural hair community and others with informative news,events and tools, it will be a pivotal step towards enhancing our knowledge on this important movement.”
